post sunshine!

Summer’s almost here and everyone’s frantically looking for really good travel deals. I on the otherhand will be taking a summer course! But I don’t think I’ll be that bad! Guess what I’m taking? It’s a design class and it’ll count as a humanities elective for my major so I’m pretty excited. That might mess up my last semester here but for now; I think I’m going to take it. It sounds really interesting.

post Busy week

I’ve noted that one week I had about a month ago was the busiest because of all of the meetings and projects to do but I didn’t account for this one. Granted, I have 3 tests and 3 projects with meetings everyday that week that I had a month before seemed to be worse. This was probably because of how unorganized everything was? I’m not sure but I’m not as stressed as I was and I’m not normally stressed so yeah. This past weekend was Easter weekend so I had time to study and I did! I wish I had studied for the exam I just took but oh well, I think I did pretty well.

*crosses fingers*

PS. Ever heard of Carrera slot cars? It’s pretty cool!

Michael finally decided on an apartment that works well with him that is also cheap. Well.. he deposited money for one apartment but he recently got a deal with their sister apartments so hopefully he can just transfer the deposit check. If not, I tihnk he’s sticking to his original. This place is nice and big and also very close to proximity to me which makes my commute to his place a lot quicker.

I’m pretty sure he’s going to have a grand time cleaning out his current apartment. It’s so dirty I think they’re going to have to buy a steam cleaner to get all of the pet stains out on every floor. :X

My organization has been collecting a good amount of money for this charity event that we decided to sponsor. One of the difficult things was to try to find a good online service since there are so many online payment services to choose from. In the end, I think we made a good decision even though it takes a small amount of our money.

But yean, in the end, as least we’re collecting money for the rural schools in China. I’m happy with the amount we’ve managed to raise at this point.

post Trips

There’s been many conversations about trips in the summer and one that I hope would actually occur would be the long road trip down south. Of course, money and time would have to be considered since my parents have successfully linked their way through my bank statements. :P So right now, I’m trying to save all of my cash that I carry (which isn’t a lot at all since I don’t like carrying cash). I guess I only take it out when needed. But cash would be nifty if I wanted to pay for nights at one of those Dallas Texas hotels.

I just started saving up the other day. I hope it works!

post Cold

As mentioned earlier, I don’t see why the winter weather is still lurking around us. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. Every night, I’d have to cover myself with the blanket because it’s so cold and sometimes Michael likes to steal the blankie so it’s super cold. I’d like to have one of those electric blankets so that I will be warmed even if I’m touching it one bit of it.

For some reason right now, I’m really hot. It’s humid and raining outside which makes the indoors super hot. *fans self*

post Back to School

For some reason, I felt like we had a really long weekend, which is a really good thing. But now since it’s back, I feel like there’s more than ever to do, even though one of my midterms have been canceled! I have a class that requires about 4 projects throughout that year, not including the final project. But anyways, about two or three of those require the cardboard displays and the rest are oral presentations. I can’t wait until that class is over. I actually have one more class like that; group projects due weekly or so. It’s pretty dreadful.

But I supposed they’re easy A’s. Hopefully.

post Ready for Summer time!

It’s been awhile since we’ve all seen the nice blazing sun and I think it’s time for it to come out. I mean it’s been out for the last couple of days but its still in the mid 50s so its trickery. I can’t wait until its hot and annoying again. It’s been a long winter and even now, being Spring, it’s still cold as heck! I hope it goes away soon so my friends and I can start planning trips to the beach and what not. We’ve actually started talking about which beach vacation rentals we should look into. We might not even have to do that because my friend’s mom might still have her place at the beach.

I don’t know. We’ll see.

post HGTV

I’ve been watching a good amount of HGTV these past few weeks, especially during Spring Break in Canada. I love House Hunters and a lot of other shows but there are a few that I don’t like. The plumbing and electricity shows, I don’t really enjoy or it doesn’t really catch my attention but sometimes I still do watch it. One of the reasons why I like this channel so much is not only do they talk about houses and the costs of it, but they try to cover the other importance of life, and senior life insurance in the future and the costs of caring for your kids in addition to purchasing a house.

HGTV is possibly taking over Food Network for me !

post Shopping

March 13th, 2009

Filed under: interests — sophia @ 5:30 pm

After reading The Confessions of a Shopaholic, I had the urge of going shopping. But that urge seemed to plan quickly as I realized that I don’t have the money to spend. Using the credit card would be a no go because my dad pays for that and that’s only for gas and food uses. So I don’t think I could ever be like the main character and buy 10 dresses and day or Hublot watches for my boyfriend.

Maybe in about a year or so, I can finally start thinking about that tho..after I get a decent job..
