There are a lot of pros and cons to having your own apartment. One of the big cons are that you are bound to spend a ridiculous amount of money. It seems never-ending right now. I went grocery shopping and shopping in general for apartment stuff the other day. I thought I was done but when I turn around to a different corner of the apartment, I discover a new necessity that we need. Not really do I need stuff for the apartment but also for myself. I’ve been using cheap face wash for awhile now and haven’t been seeing any good results so I just spent a good amount on one that my friend highly recommended. So far so good, my face is not breaking out yet to the point where I have to to an acne treatment cream; but let’s knock on wood.
As for the pros, there’s a sense of growing up when you have your own place. There is also a big step to independence even enough my parents helped me out with most of the supplies. This is no longer a dorm where you have an RA to whine and complain to, who watches you like a hawk 24/7. It feels nice.

I’ve probably had the worst week I’ve had in a while; from what I remember. And only two of this week was bad. On Wednesday, it decided to rain. At first I was like, its okay, I have rain gear such as my rainboots, umbrella and rain jacket. As I was walking out to meet my friend to take the city bus to school, I realized that I had forgotten my umbrella at Michaels house the day before. But I said to myself, have no fear!, my yellow jacket will keep my dry. Turns out, its not a rain jacket; its just a windbreaker. So as we walked to the bus, it rained soooo hard. I was practically soaked. To top it off, the bus was a bit late. So when it got here, I got on the bus and tried to dry up. As I was contemplating whether or not I should just get off to get some dry clothes, I decided to go ahead and buy an umbrella at the school bookstore. To my luck, they were sold out of umbrellas. For the next 10 minute walk to class, I tried sucking it up. My roommate was kind enough to come pick me up after class to prevent anymore wetness on me.
On Thursday as my friend and I walked to my car to drive to class, I couldn’t find my car. So I just thought, maybe I forgot I parked it somewhere else. No..it was nowhere to be found. We missed our first two classes panicking around. Turns out it was towed the previous night because my permit wasn’t in view. I didn’t have to pay full price but it was nonetheless a lot of money and a waste of money.
I’m not sure what I would do if it were stolen. I’m glad it isn’t.
PS. anyone hear about progesterone?

Chemistry is still the worst subject ever. Actually, any science just kills me. I hate it like no other. I understand that science is a really knowledgeable and useful subject, but yeah, not for me. We don’t get along at all. I just had my first test yesterday and I don’t think I did so hot on it. I just hope I pass the class because this is costing a bit of money. I guess I have to try a little harder on the second test now. The professor gave an overview of the things we are going to learn about the other day. It went from fabric softeners to diet pills such as Phentermine. Oh joy.

The cable went out for about 6 hours the other day and my life was put on hold. It’s funny how dependent we all are of the internet and cable nowadays. But I had a valid excuse to be to on that day. I had online homeworks that I had to do by midnight and it sucked because I was in the middle of getting help by my friend. We were being so studious and all of a sudden, while submitting an answer, the internet went down. Turns out, this truck at a nearby street ran over a cord and broke it. I mean, seriously, how can you manage to do that!?
We went to Big Lots the other day and was looking for nice cheap humidifiers. Anyone know anything about Air O Swiss humidifiers?

When we came back from vacation, it was nice to be back at home. Even though I missed the carelessness days spent down south, I miss the familiarity of this place. Well lo and behold, when we turn on the tv, while getting comfortable with this place again, and as Rachel Ray was teaching us how to make tasty 30 minute meals, the tv suddenly made this horrible sound and turned off. About a second later, we both started smelling this awful smell coming from the tv. We both knew from then that it was the tv’s way of saying goodbye.
Since then, we’ve been trying to look for some good tv deals on craigs list. No luck yet!

We arrived at his mom’s house and I can’t wait to see some fireworks! I’m not sure if we are going to see any tonight but I really do hope so! The other day we saw our first fireworks together right outside of Walmart while we were walking in. I made him stop and look for a little while. Heh. How romantic isn’t it?? Maybe I’ll make him buy some fireworks tonight.
All this road tripping and vacationing is ending too soon. I’m dreading school on Tuesday. By the way, I got two A’s on both of my classes. Haha, I know that won’t happen again with CHEMISTRY this summer semester. Blech.

We spent the whole day (and when I said the whole day, I’m not exaggerating, it was literally the whole day) looking for cars. His dad is a hard man to deal with, almost as bad as my parents haha. But in the end they got a car. I think it was because the last dealership we went to, he knew everyone there. When we found out that his dad was friends with almost everyone there, I thought to myself that this would only go two ways: either they weren’t going to be friends anymore after his dad tries to deal with them or since they’re friends, he won’t try to go too hard on them. Well turns out, it was the second one!
..This means ROAD TRIP!

I met his step mom for the first time. I sort have wished that I met her when I met everyone else because it just made me more nervous while she walked into the door. She just came back from somewhere in the middle of the US and I was staying at her house so I wanted to make sure things were nice and neat at her place. So I went to the bathroom to tidy a few things. I was also thinking to tidy up the kitchen a bit when I saw that both of the sinks were clean but then I realized, I don’t think I’ve stepped foot in the kitchen before. haha.
She seems pretty nice so far. His little sister is the cutest thing ever. She’s a bit on the shy side but hopefully she’ll open up soon for me.

We got on the plane at 6am last morning to visit his family in the south. We didn’t get any sleep whatsoever that night because we had to pack and it didn’t seem worth it only getting a couple of hours of sleep. Plane trip wasn’t that long but our layover was longer than the flight itself.
But we spent our time well and watched the movie Jumper while waiting.
His family is extremely nice and he resembles his dad so much. Actually he and my dad resemble each other. HAha They have the exact same style and everything. My favorite person so far is Uncle Jimmy. Uncle Jimmy showed me all of his Pokemon cards last night. Uncle Jimmy is 7 years old. He made me promise to play rock paper scissors with him tonight!
How adorable.
Well I just took a shower to get ready to go to the biggest mall in the America! Before that we went to Walmart to get a few supplies. As I was looking to for shampoo I came across the adult diapers. It was funny thinking about them. Well some women actually still do wear them; they’re called pads! I’m glad I won’t go near those anymore.

I was listening in a conversation the other at work. They were talking about the digital signage stores and shops. I was wondering what that meant at first but I realized what it was. The restaurant I work at his really nice television screens over at the bar and I’m grateful for them because it’s near the hostess stand. heh. They were playing this bowling league game and I was really happy we didn’t have any customers. hhahah. It was really interesting.
Speaking of bowling, we’re going tonight again, our weekly bowling night. Well we actually go twice a week but we won’t be able to go for next week because we’ll be out of town. heh. I’m excited.
