Summer is finally here and I’ve got a couple of awesome plans so far! In the month of July I’ll be going to CA to visit my family as well as to celebrate my niece’s first birthday. Just last weekend, I celebrated another first birthday! I never been to a babys first birthday until this year and it was really cute. :) First birthdays are awesome and so cute. I can’t wait to see my niece though, it’s been several months since I’ve seen her and I’d wish she would stop growing. Hmph.

Summer’s almost here and everyone’s frantically looking for really good travel deals. I on the otherhand will be taking a summer course! But I don’t think I’ll be that bad! Guess what I’m taking? It’s a design class and it’ll count as a humanities elective for my major so I’m pretty excited. That might mess up my last semester here but for now; I think I’m going to take it. It sounds really interesting.

post Trips

There’s been many conversations about trips in the summer and one that I hope would actually occur would be the long road trip down south. Of course, money and time would have to be considered since my parents have successfully linked their way through my bank statements. :P So right now, I’m trying to save all of my cash that I carry (which isn’t a lot at all since I don’t like carrying cash). I guess I only take it out when needed. But cash would be nifty if I wanted to pay for nights at one of those Dallas Texas hotels.

I just started saving up the other day. I hope it works!

For some reason, I felt like we had a really long weekend, which is a really good thing. But now since it’s back, I feel like there’s more than ever to do, even though one of my midterms have been canceled! I have a class that requires about 4 projects throughout that year, not including the final project. But anyways, about two or three of those require the cardboard displays and the rest are oral presentations. I can’t wait until that class is over. I actually have one more class like that; group projects due weekly or so. It’s pretty dreadful.

But I supposed they’re easy A’s. Hopefully.

I went home last week to see my parents before they go off on their vacation and my mom asked me if the diet pills that she bought in Hong Kong were reliable. I told her that some are reliable some are not and she shouldn’t just rely on it because it’s sold in a store and that she should do stuff research on it first. I wish she would have time to exercise daily and eat healthier! Maybe I should suggest a local gym membership. Hopefully she’ll be willing to pay for it. :P

It’s been a busy month for me. There’s a lot of stuff going on this month that will be over by this weekend. We’re preparing for the biggest show of the year and everything’s finally coming into one piece. There’s been a lot of material handling and painting foam boards but I think we’re almost done. I’m a part of the design committee and we have over last meeting on Friday hoping to finish up with everything. I can’t wait until we’re done; I’m getting tired of all of this. Hopefully on Saturday it’ll all pay off.

I seriously need to invest in some travel insurance because of my recent incident. I no wonder trust airplanes as much as I did before which sucks because I used to love flying and airports in general. I really hope the trip back home will be nothing like the trip up here. The snow up here has a couple of more days to melt and stuff before I go home. It better melt !! No more snow for the rest of the … year please!

post My Possessions

I never thought that I would be one of those people who loses their suitcases. I really hope the airport didn’t lose it. I wasn’t kidding when I said I don’t know what I would do without my possessions. That’s one of the things I hate about traveling. You pack all of your favorite clothes and possessions but it would totally suck if the luggage got lost. I’m STILL crossing my fingers. All of them. Maybe if I would have bought a Zero Halliburton suitcase none of this would have happened?

I’m in Canada for the last couple of days and I’ve had a lot of fun even with the freaking snow and also the fact that my luggage is still at the airport. Who knew that I could have spent almost a week without any of my clothes. I really do hope that the airport didn’t lose it though. I’m not sure what I do without all of my favorite stuff. D:. Anyways I think I’m heading up north as soon as I get back into town. Maybe I’ll stop by the capital to get some nice Washington DC teeth whitening.

Spending Christmas with my sister’s family is really fun. Last night for Christmas Eve, we went to do present exchanging with the kids and stuff. It was really cute seeing all of the kids’ expressions when they opened all of their 34234 presents that grandpa and uncles and aunties gave them. From Guitar Hero to Oscar de la Rentas, they had everything. It was a really warm day for all of us.
