You Think You Know..
February 20th, 2008
Coming into the college, I wanted to prove this wrong, “you develop your lifelong friends in college, not high school”. It’’s not that I didn”t want to make good friends in college, I felt strongly that the friends I made in high school would last til the end. But halfway into my undergraduate years, it’’s coming true. Looking back at the good friends I made in high school, we were all too young and naive to think that distance will not be a problem. We all thought we grew up enough to think that we”d last forever. Sharing all our secrets together isn”t enough I guess. Looking back at my best friends in high school, I realize that the ones that stay are the ones that can survive through rough times; the ones that can handle hardships; the ones that can last. I”m forever grateful for your friendship Shantel. I”m not sure if I deserve a friend like you but right now I don”t care. I”m lucky to have you in my life and I hope it continues forever, as corny as it may sound.
Things don”t happen as you please, but you should take it as it comes.
